Golden Tarot of Klimt Cards by Gustav Klimt

The Golden Tarot of Klimt Cards are inspired by the artistic style of early twentieth-century Austrian painter, Gustav Klimt. The art is vivid and sensual, interspersed with mosaic patterns and accented with gold metallic accents.

Klimt and his strong allegorical subjects inspired the Tarot designed by A. A. Atanassov. Every now and then a fundamental aspect of the artwork to the great Viennese artist emerges, or rather the revival of figurative and compositional aspects of Hellenic classicism.

A revival with roots in the Nietzschean culture that indicates a return to the origin; that is, to the ancient Greek world where authentic aesthetic and ethical models can still be found uncontaminated.

The symbolism inherent in the Tarot is perfectly coherent with that symbolist culture that also gave origin to Klimt’s artwork. The pictorial images of the Viennese artist are, in fact, full of hermeticism: his works seem to be depictions of a mystery and even more so an expression of emotions and drives.
